Wow it has been a long time since I blogged anything... life sure does have all sorts of detours doesn't it?...

Anyways, I have been keeping busy with work our store and enjoying a monthly swap.  I have found krazy crafty creations  and I am loving it.  They have several monthly swaps to choose from.  I usually only do 1 per month...but for some strange reason I signed up for 3 this month....then I found out that I had to have shoulder surgery... AUGH!  Well good thing I was able to get a great big jump on my swaps prior to my surgery.  My favorite so far is the All Hallows Eve" File folder mini album.  I have loved making this little album... I really want to keep it...lol
Here are a few photos for you.

Special Order:
I recently had a special order for journals...
Here is a picture of them...

These were made for a woman's bible study.
She wanted them simple, but enjoyable.
Do you see the common theme through out??
I will give you a hint...it flys..
The lady that ordered these is going to giving out quote or bible verse each week... and wanted a space for each gal to write her own thoughts.
I think they turned out quite nice.
Thanks for lookin'!

Happy Valentines Day!
So in my last post I showed and talked about the tags
I made for a swap...
I ended up making new tags...
so here they are:

I mailed them out last week...and just got an email last night that they have been re-routed to their new owners... I hope they enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.

The other tags I did end up taking to our store, Lost and Found Thrift and sold almost all of them so far...I never thought I was good at making tags...but selling them...what???  Maybe I should perfect this a little...what do you thing?

So I thought i would try it...
And what better Holiday then Valentines????

Don't they look cute sitting in Milk Glass...

And here are the backs.
I signed up for a swap over at Scrappy Happiness, not sure if I am going to use these tags or make new ones... I didn't read the directions clearly... and these are the wrong size tag... oh well I will make some more!  Good excuse to use these for myself or sell them at our store Lost and Found Thrift.
Thanks for looking!

NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS:
Do you make resolutions?  I know I do and never seem to follow through....BUT...this year is going to be different....bring one 2013!  I have a couple of resolutions....
  1. scrap more... make a specific day and time to do it!
  2. spend more time with my kids!  ENJOY THEM!
  3. be more organized with my home activities...such as cleaning (might need to hire someone here LOL)
  4. I am going to make a smash book for 2013.  document something every week!
I sure hope I can keep up with some of these easier resolutions this year!

I thought I would try my hand at cards... so here is one I just did...really simple. ( I am not a good card maker...I really go BLANK!)
I fact I got the idea from Heidi Swapp at My Channel. Love how simply she has made these cards!

I used Teresa Collins and My Minds Eye to make this card as well as a sewing pattern flower and some lace...This is a tri-fold card which is really easy... I think I am going to use this for my friends little girls 5th Birthday card.  There is plenty of room to write a note and include a gift card if I want....I hope she likes it!

MADE THIS!
While checking out a new magazine called: Make It Yourself (better homes and gardens magazine)
Under the top 10 storage ideas and this was #3.
Which says:
Serve your crafts supplies in a collection of vases, mugs and cups and dishes on a colorful serving tray.  A wire carrier keeps things stable and portable.
Here are the two I made:

Although it was mentioned for storage... I didn't have enough glasses and desk supplies for these photos... but I am sure you get the idea... right?
Both of these drink holders started there life out as gold... and now one is red and one is pink... I love these drink holders... I need to find more..I want to do one turquoise now.
