The latest

Well here are a couple of pictures from my getting beter scrap room... I actually got some shelves out of the garage and painted them black today... and just got done hanging them at 11:30pm... I put all the glass jars with my flowers and embellies on the shelf for right now...
the wood shelve on my drafting table... was already there... i just straighted up my drafting table.. that is all.... if you look to the right you will see a great item I found at Big Lots... for just $5.00... I think I need to go back and get a couple more... right now I put all the NEW paper that I have been picking up at The Scrappin Table and The Red Bee... and of course Fun-Scrappin...
Here is a better look a the expanding 12x12 file...

When I first looked at it... I didn't think it would hold that much... but I am really suprised!!!
This would be a great little tote for a CROP!!!

Well it's just about midnight... and I am falling asleep.... besides working on this room... My oldest daughter and I worked on her room for most of the day as well... She had the typical teen age messy room... but has decided that she wanted to clean it up and start changing it.... no more metal and modern... she wants shabby chic.... let's just say right now it is somewhere inbetween....we have a ways to go to get it just right... but at least it is clean.

Goodnight

As Promised

As promised here is the MESSSYYY scraproom!

If you have any suggestions I am all ears!!!

I will post the after pictures once I get this mess in order.... who knows how long that will take me.

Part of my problem is the little girl sitting in the first picture... my darling little Zoe... she is into everything... and she doesn't let you do anything you need to do either... I need to bribe her daddy to take her out for the whole day real soon to get this all done.

storage tip for the day

Hello everyone out there in blog land...
Just wanted to stop by and tell you about two products I found...
These would be great for storing your embellishements...for cheap!!!
Both are from IKEA..
The first is the BURKEN
This jar comes in 3 sizes:
17oz for $1.99 37 oz for $2.99 and 74OZ for 3.99

You can't beat that with a stick...LOL

The second is a little more fun with a retro look to them

They are the TRIPP:

Theses are a set of 3 canisters for $2.99... now that you really can't beat with a stick...

You would do all kinds of cute things with these canister for that price. You could keep them the way they are... or embelish the outside with what you keep on the inside....you could totally recover them with your favortie scrapbook paper or supplies...

You could even use them for gift boxes... the things you could do with 3 canister for $2.99 is just endless.... I am running right now to Ikea to pick some up.... I am seeing Christmas written all over these babies....

Will be back later to post... I have another layout to show...

Giddy Up Cowboy

Hi Cheryl here again !

Sharing a Page from a Scrapbook Album I am working on for Donna.
Which is due in September ...so it is down to the wire.
I've got 28 pages done so far, all double Layouts.

Here is one I am sharing with you now !

This page was designed to be flexible ...with the Photos ...yet to be taken.

It has a Travel Theme for either a Family Outting.
...Or just busy kids play.

So Multiple Vechicle Images give the pages lots of charm and a sense of Action !

This is the Left Side of our Double Page Layout.

Here is the Right Side of the Layout.

Crazy Thing here ...this Photo Flips it's self over ? Go Figure ?
...So maybe just tilt your head sideways to the right
to get a better perspective of the page.
( Don't get too Dizzy and fall of your Chair ! ).

This adorable Rocket Ship Journal Box is Lola's Favorite Element to my Page Design !

Here a Little Cowboy that adds Kids Play to the page !

Here is the Tile.
I made it bumpy to give it action for the theme.

Note I made the Bird flying away from the tree too ...to animate the page.

More to come ...Keep your eye's peeled !

LOL - Cheryl

Hi - I'm Lola Marie

Just finished helping Penny make some Gift Cards for her CAbi Fashion Show on Sept 6th. ....Here's a few Photos for you to enjoy !

This was the face of the card.

We started with a Creative Memories Photo Sharing Card, that we cut in 1/2 to make 2 cards. ( She needed 6 ).

We used my Cricut to do the lettering.
Jasmine & Alpalicious seem to be the most popular fonts !

The Dress image was hand cut from some paper Penny brought over.

The inside looked like this !

...This is where she was putting her Gift Certificates.

Note the scalloped edge.
It was already there on one card ...but we had to cut it for the second. With my CM Arabesque Rotary Blade cutter.
Then we highlighted the edge with a Silver Gel Pen.
It really made this feature stand out !

We Dotted the $50 ...with a Black Marker to give it extra Punch.

( Which Cheryl thinks is really CUTE !
- And would look great with Rhinestones as well ! ).

The mat at the bottom of the page is a Photo Sleeve for her to side the Gift Certificate into.

Here is a close up of that !

The small rectangle is for a Personal Note
and signature from Penny.

The Heart was made with Both the Large and Regular Creative Memories Heart Punches.

Punching first the smaller 3/4 center heart
...and then the larger 1 1/4 inch outter heart.

This pink gingham paper was a chioce made by Penny and to match the area where the Gift Certifiacte goes.

We made the White Oval with the CM Oval Cutting System.
To make the Dress Pop !

And again the Black Dots make the Card look so adorable !!!

It was lots of FUN !!!
And I was glad to help Penny get this project finished in One Workshop !

Can't wait to show you the AWESOME Card I made my Son for His Birthday !
I will post that next !

Lola Marie is a great designer... she thinks out of the box on everything she does and she makes it look so simple. I will get some samples and add it to the gallery once I get that up and going.

On another note, I was told I should add pictures of my own work... so until I get our gallery made.... here is a teaser...

WOW

Wow it is hot today!!! Trying to clean up and organize my "scrapbookroom" I recently cleaned out our downstairs bedroom...that was out guest room....sorry guests... and made it my scrapbook room... I have put up along on wall a shelving unit, a drafting table (thanks to my dad) and an amoire to hold the computer and my pictures that still need to be scrapped...

Along the other wall I have a desk that is now my printing and cutting station... then on the other wall is a catch all desk for right now... but when done... it will be for scrappy friends that want to come and use the room...they will have their own place to sit.

So since I am organizing and I have lots of little flowers and such.... I have been on the look out for CHEAP ideas to store them. I am currently painting a white mantle shelf black to go in here... and on it I will be putting the jars that I have found at either Big Lots or Walmart.

In fact I will post a picture of the bell jars I found at Walmart. They are 1 pint each and I got a pack of 4 for $4.97.. what a deal....

I also got a couple of smaller jars at Big Lots for a $1.00 each... for smaller embellishments and flowers. I could only find 2 of these jars..so I need to check a couple of other Big Lots this week...wish me luck.

Well on the non-scrappy side... we have had family in town all last week and we did Disneyland for 2 days in a row... wow do my legs hurt...
We also spent time in San Diego hanging out and taking care of a few things.. And I found out that my boyfriends neice likes to scrapbook... so we found the local scrapbook store in San Diego and got a few things... she doesn't have a lot of stuff... so while organizing I am setting a few things a side to send her....I hope she enjoys them...
Well that is all for now... don't forget to stop by The Scrapping Table to place your vote for the new Design Team challange

Saturday, August 9, 2008

Well I can't believe a whole week has gone by....
But check these layouts out...
there is a Design Team contest going on at The Scrappin Table...
And Lola Marie is one of the 4 finalist....
If you are in the area... check out her layouts and make sure you
VOTE for LOLA!!!
